Chairman
Dr. Samuel (Sam) Hancock
Dr. Samuel (Sam) Hancock is the Chairman of the Board. He is also
the President of the Emerald Planet International Foundation and of the Emerald Planet TV, an international television platform dedicated to showcasing innovative solutions and best practices in sustainable environmental, economic, and social development. Through Emerald Planet TV, Dr. Hancock has connected global leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, educators, and policymakers to promote a more sustainable and prosperous world.
A dedicated Rotarian, Dr. Hancock has been actively involved in international service projects focused on water, sanitation, education, community development, and environmental stewardship. His work has fostered partnerships among Rotary clubs, governments, universities, nonprofits, and private-sector organizations around the world.
Dr. Hancock is also a direct descendant of the distinguished Hancock family, whose legacy includes John Hancock, one of America’s Founding Fathers and the first signer of the Declaration of Independence.
Inspired by this heritage of leadership and public service, Dr. Hancock has devoted his career to advancing international cooperation, sustainable development, and humanitarian initiatives that improve lives and strengthen communities worldwide.
Vice Chairman, Global Economic Development
Mr. Norm Mayall
Norm Mayall brings decades of experience in education, real estate, hospitality, investment, and international economic development. His career includes 18 years in higher education as a senior administrator and educator, professional associations with major investment firms including Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, and extensive ownership, development, and consulting experience in real estate and hospitality.
As co-founder of Cardinal Group International, he worked with major organizations including Baxter Blood Therapy, Celgene, and national retail groups. His international economic development experience includes foreign direct investment initiatives in Switzerland, Italy, China, and the Middle East.
At the Global Humanities Foundation, Norm focuses on connecting people, opportunities, investment, and solutions, with education serving as a constant foundation throughout his career.
Founder
Rose Hong
Rose Hong is a humanitarian leader, published author, international business executive, television producer, and media entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience spanning global media, public service, and nonprofit leadership.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Global Humanities Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing innovation in the arts, education, healthcare, science, and technology while promoting global understanding, peace, and humanitarian cooperation. Through the Foundation, she has developed initiatives focused on global wellness, cultural diplomacy, education, community development, and international collaboration.
Ms. Hong is also the Founder and Executive Director of Global Dragon TV, an international media platform through which she has produced and hosted hundreds of television programs featuring world leaders, diplomats, business executives, healthcare professionals, artists, and innovators. Her work has fostered cross-cultural dialogue and highlighted issues related to international affairs, wellness, economic development, and humanitarian outreach.
Prior to her nonprofit and media leadership roles, Ms. Hong served in senior federal acquisition & procurement positions within the U.S. federal government, including the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of the Interior. Her career encompassed leadership responsibilities in healthcare administration, federal real estate development, procurement policy, strategic communications, and international programs.
A dedicated advocate for public service and philanthropy, Ms. Hong is an active Rotarian and supports numerous charitable and humanitarian organizations, including medical mission and healthcare outreach programs serving communities around the world. Her career reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, innovation, and service, with a mission to improve lives through education, media, cultural exchange, and humanitarian initiatives.
Co-Founder & President
Tset Wong
Tset Wong is a distinguished public servant, veteran advocate, and organizational leader whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and community impact. As Co-Founder and President, he provides strategic vision and leadership in advancing programs that support veterans, promote wellness, and foster organizational excellence.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Wong transitioned from military service into an accomplished federal career spanning several decades. He has served in key leadership and procurement roles across numerous federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Department of the Navy, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Merit Systems Protection Board. Throughout his government service, he earned a reputation for integrity, operational excellence, and dedication to public stewardship.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Mr. Wong holds an Associate Degree in Human Services, a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, a Master of Science in Project Management, and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. He further pursued doctoral studies in Organizational Leadership and successfully completed all coursework toward a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership (ABD).
As a service-connected disabled veteran living with tinnitus, bilateral hearing loss, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Mr. Wong brings unique insight, resilience, and compassion to his leadership. His personal experiences, combined with his extensive professional and academic background, have strengthened his commitment to advocating for veterans and helping them access opportunities for healing, wellness, and personal growth.
Under his leadership, the organization champions innovative programs focused on veteran wellness, integrated health, education, and community engagement. Mr. Wong is dedicated to advancing a global vision of healing and support for veterans, empowering those who have served to thrive in every aspect of their lives while continuing to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Through his unwavering dedication to service, leadership, and veteran advocacy, Tset Wong continues to inspire positive change and strengthen the mission of creating healthier, more resilient communities for veterans and their families worldwide.
Director of Operations
Stuart Hitchings
Stuart Hitchings serves as Director of Operations for the Global Humanities Foundation, bringing more than four decades of distinguished federal service and leadership experience to the organization. Throughout his career, he held key federal acquisition and procurement positions with the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
During his tenure with the National Archives and Records Administration, Mr. Hitchings oversaw the management and operations of Presidential Libraries, helping preserve and promote the historical legacy of America's presidents while ensuring public access to important archival resources. At HUD, he managed major information technology acquisitions, procurement programs, and strategic initiatives that supported mission-critical operations across the agency.
Drawing upon his extensive experience in government administration, operations management, and strategic planning, Mr. Hitchings now leads the Foundation's day-to-day operations and organizational initiatives. He plays a key role in advancing the Foundation's Global Wellness Program, Food Is Medicine initiatives, and Community Farm Program, which promotes sustainable agriculture, nutrition education, and access to healthy food resources for underserved communities.
Mr. Hitchings is committed to fostering partnerships, improving organizational effectiveness, and supporting programs that enhance health, wellness, education, and community development both locally and globally.
Director of Art Programs Chairman, Global Youth Art Competition
Bella Yanbo Huang
Bella Yanbo Huang is an internationally recognized artist, fashion designer, educator, and arts leader whose visionary leadership has helped shape the Global Humanities Foundation's arts education mission and youth development programs.
As Director of Art Programs and Chairman of the Foundation's Global Youth Art Competition, she provides strategic direction for initiatives that inspire creativity, artistic excellence, and cultural understanding among young people worldwide.
Holding a Master of Fine Arts in Art and Design from Southern Illinois University, Bella has built an accomplished international career spanning more than 25 years as an artist, designer, scholar, and educator. Her innovative works blend painting, sculpture, fashion, and mixed media, creating immersive artistic experiences celebrated for their vibrant color, intricate detail, and imaginative vision.
Bella's artwork and fashion designs have been exhibited internationally, including showcases at Art Expo New York, prestigious exhibitions associated with the Louvre in Paris, France, and cultural events in Vienna, Austria. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the Award of Excellence at Art Expo New York and recognition as a featured designer at major fashion events in Paris, Rome, Milan, and London.
An award-winning educator and mentor, Bella has guided generations of young artists to national and international recognition. Her students have earned top honors in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and have been accepted to leading institutions including Yale University, Stanford University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, and other prestigious universities and art schools. Her outstanding contributions to arts education have earned her multiple Gold Medal Educator Awards.
As the visionary architect of the Foundation's Global Youth Art Competition, Bella has championed opportunities for young artists to develop their talents, share their voices, and engage in meaningful cultural exchange through the arts. Her dedication to artistic excellence, education, and global citizenship continues to inspire emerging artists and strengthen the Foundation's mission of promoting creativity, cultural diplomacy, and humanitarian values through the arts.
